The Corning Place Minute Kicks Off From Worldwide Gathering of Communications Pros

Corning Place Communications (CPC), the Albany-based, full-service communications and public affairs firm specializing in integrated government affairs strategies and solutions, today launched the Corning Place Minute – a video blog series focusing on the latest communications trends, topics and technologies.

Today’s introductory segment focuses on CPC’s participation in the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) 2013 International Conference schedule for October 26-29 in Philadelphia. Paul Larrabee, the firm’s Managing Director, and a board member of the PRSA’s Capital Region Chapter is attending the event, which is expected to attract more than 2,000 communications professionals from more than 20 countries.

With the support of PRSA’s Capital Region Chapter, Larrabee, known in New York as a proponent of affirmative, layered and sustained communications philosophy, will be providing 60-second video updates from the event that will be posted on the firm’s website: (www.corningplace.com); and via Twitter. The Corning Place Minute can be accessed at @cpcalbany and @PRSA_CapRegion.

“The Communications applications and tools are constantly changing,” Larrabee said. “And, while the fundamentals remain the essential foundation for any strategy, it’s important to consider emerging platforms when developing your communications arsenal. Ultimately, that’s the type of value-added service Corning Place Communications is committed to offering our clients.”

Last month, two CPC campaigns developed and implemented for its clients were designated as finalists for the 2013 Empire Award in two categories: Media Relations (Statewide and Beyond); and Public Affairs Advocacy. CPC has been honored with the Empire Award in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
